Welcome to Dandy Acres Angus.

Dandy Acres has been in the purebred Angus business since 1964. The farm started with a partnership between Gregg, his father Goodwin and brother Roger.  Today, Gregg and Nancy share the business interest with their family. For the show ring, pasture and feedlot, Dandy  Acres continues to produce the kind of cattle the family is proud to offer for sale.  Over the years there have been changes in Angus breed trends but the Johnson’s always keep the needs of cattleman in mind, low birth weights resulting in easy calving and fast growth are a prominent goals of Dandy Acres breeding programs. Careful planning for a progressive AI and embryo transfer program using “curve bender”  bulls have resulted in AHIR records that reflect Dandy Acres goals.

Dandy Acres has an annual bull sale on the 2nd Saturday in April. Club calves and heifers are available by private treaty at the farm each year. We invite cattlemen looking for breeding bulls and replacement females to contact us. Youth looking for project steers or heifers are welcome to see what Dandy Acres has to offer.

Herd is negative in the voluntary USDA Johne's Program at Level 2.
