Dandy Acres Angus was started by Gregg & Nancy Johnson of Pipestone, MN in 1964. Today, they share the business interest with their family and the operation with their son, Neil. For the show ring, pasture and feedlot, Dandy Acres continues to produce the kind of cattle our family is proud to offer for sale. Over the years there have been changes in Angus breed trends, but we believe in keeping the needs of cattlemen in mind. Low birth weights resulting in easy calving and fast growth are prominent goals of our breeding program here at Dandy Acres. Careful planning for a progressive AI and Embryo Transfer program using “curve bender” bulls have resulted in AHIR records that reflect those goals.
We are proud to hold an Annual Production Sale on the second Saturday in April offering bulls and a select number of females. In addition, club calves, steer and show heifer prospects are available by private treaty at the farm.
Whether you are a cattleman looking for breeding bulls or replacement females, or youth looking for your next project, we invite you to stop by and see what Dandy Acres Angus has to offer!
